Delicious Banana Cake Easy Dessert Recipe
This is a delicious food type of cake dessert, made with bananas and very easy to cook. Follow the instructions bellow and you’ll have a spectacular dessert to serve to your family or friends!
SERVES: 4
Ingredients:
- 3 bananas
- ½ tablespoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- Pinch of cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
- 8 tablespoons of butter + 2 tablespoons for caramel
- 1 cup (240 ml) of sour cream
- 2 cups (250 g) of all-purpose flour
- 6.3 oz (180 g) of sugar
- 4.2 oz (120 g) of brown sugar
- 2 eggs
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 356 F (that 180 C).
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter together with brown sugar until it’s smooth.
- Line a springform pan aprox 10.14 inch (26 cm) with parchment paper and pour caramel over the bottom. Cut the bananas into slices and spread them over the caramel.
- Melt 8 tablespoons of butter over low heat. Then, whisk the melted butter with sugar, vanilla, eggs, and sour cream.
- Sift the flour with cinnamon, baking powder and baking soda. Important: Add to the wet ingredients and don’t over mix! Spread the mixture evenly over the bananas.
- Bake it for approximately 30 minutes. Test it with a skewer. TIP: The caramel might leak a bit during baking, so it’s good you put an empty pan on the bottom of your oven.
- Turn the cake upside down onto a serving platter and serve.
